Welcome!

Hi everyone. So glad you stopped by this little blog. I began this as a way to document my life and my husband's life as we pick up and move from Uptown Dallas, TX to Nashville, TN.

"Why?" you might ask. Good question.

Doug, my husband of almost one year, is starting his MBA program at Vanderbilt this fall. We are both born and raised in Texas ... Lone Star State through and through. The will be something new for us, and we're both very excited. Nashville is more "country" than we're used to ... would you believe I don't actually own a pair of cowboy boots?

I will be working full time while Doug is in school {I'm currently working out the details on a great opportunity.} We lined up an adorable little apartment in Nashville that was built in the 1920's as a hotel. Our place is right by Centennial Park, the same park where there's a life-size replica of the Parthenon, originally built in ancient Greece.

Stay tuned to see what's in store as we say "goodbye" to our friends and family in Texas and "hello" to an unknown adventure in Tennessee.

This weekend Doug and I celebrate our one-year anniversary, and we're going to Hot Springs, Arkansas to celebrate. Couples massage, dinner and dance cruise, swimming in the hot springs... I can't wait. I promise to post pics!
